We are transitioning our practice to the Direct Primary Care model because we love what we do. We love you, our community. This means that we won’t be accepting private insurance for primary care services after Jan 1, 2026. We will still keep your insurance on file for coordination of care (labs, pharmacy, referrals, etc) but we won’t be billing it anymore, except for vaccines. You can pay your subscription tax-free using your FSA or HSA. You can also submit your receipts to your insurance for reimbursement. Your subscription is also tax-deductible.

Over the years it has become increasingly difficult to get properly reimbursed for primary care (if you look around, you’ll see that there’s not many of us left). We don’t like having to ask for insurance’s permission to do our job, fighting them on what we believe is the best course of care, or wasting our time appealing denials. It takes us away from you - and you are the reason we’re doing this in the first place.

This model allows your hard-earned dollars to go directly to your provider, rather than filter through a huge corporation where it will pad the pockets of millionaire CEOs before a small portion eventually finds its way to your care team. 100% of your subscription stays in this community and supports really, really good healthcare (if we say so ourselves).

We will continue to accept Oregon Health Plan for adults and children. There will be no fees for OHP members.
